Kalpana Patowary performing at AITIF2015 Jorhat ASSAM.


The trade fair, christened Assam International Trade and Industrial Fair is being organized by the department of industries and commerce in collaboration with the Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (Finer) at Court Field in Jorhat from February to 19th.

“The first Assam International Trade & Industrial Fair, 2015, (AITIF, 2015 JORHAT) is set to kick start on February 19. It will be a unique extravaganza of not only trade & commerce, business and technical sessions, but also of culture and harmony, music and creativity, sports and unity, and above all of awareness and a sense of positivity for all,”

The event, an initiative of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi along with the State Department of Industries & Commerce in association with the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) will be held in Jorhat from February 19 to 25.

Being organized by Seher, a cultural organization that aims to promote performing and visual arts in India and abroad, the evening will endeavor to present a cross section of performances by various Indian artistes, from contemporary to folk.

Beginning on 19th Feb the fair features on the first day of the event the BHOJPURI QUEEN, 
a versatile and one of the most recognizable voices in India with her band. The contemporary folk fusion acts by Kalpana Patowary were also a huge hit with the audience, and for the Bollywood lovers, Kalpana sang her songs from the film R..Rajkumar, Khatta Meetha and Aakrosh!.

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi was also present among the audience here.
